Simonside Hostel
This 11 bed hostel provides accommodation and support for young people aged 16 to 25 in housing crisis in Newcastle upon Tyne. The project enables young people to maintain links within their own community and where applicable the project staff can act as a mediator for the young people and their family to work towards reconciliation. A resettlement worker is also based at the project to help the young people to access and move into independent accommodation and continue to support them when they have moved.
Simonside Resettlement
This service offers support to young people in the transition from supported accommodation to their own tenancies and provides floating support for up to 2 years in Newcastle. Up to 19 young people can be supported in the community at any one time.
