Supported Lodgings London
The Supported Lodgings London scheme run by Depaul
The scheme acts as a stepping stone for homeless young people who do not yet have the skills they need to live independently but can learn them through the modeling of a family.
Hosts
A typical placement could last between 6months and 2years. Anyone with the ability and desire to build positive relationships with young people, a sense of humor, a laid back attitude with firm boundaries and a spare room in your home in London can apply to become a host, and we are always in need. Hosts receive rent for the room and a support allowance for their time along with comprehensive training, supervision, on call support and development opportunities; along with the opportunity to make a huge difference to the life of a young person.

Young People
- Are you leaving care soon and wondering where to live?
- Are you facing homelessness, or unhappy in temporary accommodation?
- Could supported lodgings be right for you?
Supported Lodgings involves living in the home of a normal person or family. You would normally need to go to college or work, share cleaning responsibilities and let them know if you were staying out for the night. In return you would get your own room and door key, delicious meals and a quiet friendly safe place to live.
