Prevent
Through our mediation and early intervention services, we prevent young
people from becoming homeless...
One of our key aims in preventing youth homelessness is to work with more young people under the age of 16. Our work with schools helps to make students more aware of what homelessness is, how and why young people can find themselves in such difficult situations and what they can do to avoid becoming homeless.
The biggest cause of youth homelessness is family breakdown, so we work with schools and social services to provide family mediation for young people who are at risk of becoming homeless.

We also work with young offenders to ensure that they have somewhere to live when they leave prison, which has a real impact in reducing reoffending, and support them to get back on their feet when they are released.
